I don't 'do' gold, silver goes better with my grey tones.....however now I've said that and look about, yes there's plenty of old gold going on too! Guess they mix quite well as my greys are often closer to greige and natural linen shades!
Yes, BIG mirrors are great - if you have big spaces - I don't unfortunately. Do have lots of old foxed mirrors though as they open up small spaces with reflections.
I have those French metal Tolix (well good knock offs!) in my kitchen - mine are gunmetal grey, a shade between the two you show in the photo - love 'em.
