I like yellow, my walls are pale yellow. Although I won't go totally bananas ( yellow), I want the chairs and the mirrors on the wall. Don't you love those mirrors ?!

I had a blue velvet sofa for over twenty years through two kids and several pets. It showed no wear. I even washed the seat cushion covers hoping they would die so I could get a new sofa. What finally killed it was a rodent who got in the house during a long vacation and tore it up for nesting - along with chunks of my oriental rug.
Nancy, great story. The sad part was the rat eating parts of the rug.
I have to remember to avoid long vacations or leaving the house unoccupied. I cannot imagine the surprise/dismay when you returned home :(
