Idea Board

I am going to start posting photos that I will take from blogs and publications on the internet, of rooms , colors and objects for a sort of Idea Board here.
We can all obsess over the decorating of my new home ( please someone buy this house so I can get on with it !!)

There will probably not be any rhyme or reason to what I post and how it goes with the other posts .. it will be a Freethought Design Board ... yeah ! I like that !

So to start it off, I will use some of these photos that I like .. colors, style etc.

This is from the blog Victorian Realist .. the colors are wonderful. The chair and dog aren't bad either. That is the color of my kitten Minette ..she would look good sitting in that chair too !
This kitchen looks very much like the kitchen of the Little House ..
I would be happy with this.
then there is the matter of bedrooms.. two of which are under the eaves. how romantic is that ?
I saw a under the eaves bedroom in a magazine where the ceiling over the bed was papered with Toile.  This is definitely something I am considering.

I a a sucker for a black and white diamond floor. So classic, and you only need to clean the white diamonds.

I also want a lot of toile .. I think French country Cottage will be the style I will go for.
Not too cutesy but cozy .. and a bit elegant.

I agree, it's cozy to have the bedrooms tucked under the eaves. Toile sounds lovely. A friend of mine in NYC used to live in an efficiency in the Village and she did her place in b&w and it was lovely. (She is the lady who owned the dog named Harrison.)
