Yes, please ....

When you sit around a house all the time, snowbound, in a frozen land, where there is really no place to go anyway, you start to spend a lot of time on the computer.
My life has been Kindle, Computer, Kitten ... and sometimes Cookies.
This is not particularly a Bad Thing ... as long as we don't go overboard with the Cookies part.

I want to do something and there is really nothing to do .
The house is clean, looks good, appealing to House Hunters and if they get through the snow to look at it, they will like it.
So far, all who have been here, do like it.

Now I am collecting photos from websites for House Decorating and Whatever.
My new favorite websites for this are found    online and on tumblr .
Lonny  ...

I would not be unhappy with that bedroom at all.
Or this, although Light walls are my preference.
What are yours ?
This would do nicely in a new home somewhere .. anywhere !
I don't care where I live, this kitchen is a must ..

Yes Please !!

It used to be if you wanted to see pretty houses you had to read all the home magazines or wait for a house tour. Now the internet brings us so many beautiful things.

Have you been to Edenton NC? It’s possibly the most beautiful town on the east coast. Their biennial house tour is coming up April 17-18. I've told all my women friends they should go at least once in their lives. The town sits along the largest freshwater sound in the world (the Albemarle), and has wonderful houses, pretty gardens, and it’s USDA zone 8.

Here’s a link to my favorite house there, so far:

Carolyn, I grew up in Charlotte NC :)
I would love to go to Edenton and go on a house tour .. I would like to do that in Savannah Ga also.
That is a fabulous house indeed !

Mmmm .. do I want to live in Albemarle ?

House tours--how I love them.

As a Charlotte native, are you inoculated against the heat? If so, maybe Albemarle would suit you. It's flat, though, if that bothers you.

Zone 8 sounds good to this frozen zone 5 gardener, but I'm sure the heat would have its own gardening challenges.

We're in the dreamtime, aren't we?

I can't figure out how to leave a comment on your other blog, so I'll say it here--I can't believe the fabulous buildings in Buenos Aires!

I hate Southern hot and humid . Everywhere I have lived has hot summers with humidity, I don't think about it anymore as an issue when househunting.
I would rather be up around Winston Salem maybe or around Charlotte/Belmont.
Buenos Aires was great .. hot humid summers but never intolerable and gardens proliferated everywhere.
We are most definitely in Dreamtime.

Buenos Aires was settled by Europeans, French architects had a good time there as well as Italians etc. So wherever you go there are fabulous examples of the mix. There are gardens planned and planted by a man named Carlos Thays .. look him up :)
