I would love to go really short at this point in time, a cute wash and go pixie would be easy to manage when traveling, however being tall I'm afraid I would look like a pinhead! So I keep my bob but have it stacked short at the back so I don't have to 'fix' it much. I haven't had long hair in decades but sometimes wish for it so I could pull it up - another plus when traveling. A lot depends one's skin and bone structure too - older faces sometimes require a bit more hair, although the gorgeous Judi Dench doesn't mind her wrinkles showing so why should we, ha! ha!
I don't care for grey hair worn long - but with a great cut and in good condition it can look awesome in a pixie. My problem is I'm still getting color - that's a whole other ball game!!!

Mary, you are right, it is also about Balance .. short close hair can make a persons head look .. small :)
No, my photo is not on there but my hair is blonde and past my shoulders :) Long hair is mostly what you see here, on any age.. very feminine and it is also very easy for me.
I never really got grey .. my blonde hair went white .. so it is just blonder :) I feel lucky.
My wife is 55, and her hair is past waist and gorgeous. IMO, virtually all women, especially those past 40, shed years while wearing a beautiful LONG hairstyle. Now, my best female friend looks great with a pixie cut at 60, but she has a super sweet face. But even SHE was considered more of a hottie with mid-back locks two years ago. GRow, don't cut! LOL

If you are older...a bit pudgy...then you must go short...
Older women with short hair are invisible to the opposite sex...
